PUBLIC NOTICE - POSSIBLE QUORUM

A quorum of the Warrenton City Commission may be present at a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Safe Routes to School Project, Phase 1 completion. The ribbon cutting is scheduled for September 3rd, beginning at 11:00 a.m., at the intersection of S. Main Avenue and SW 9th, Warrenton, OR 97146. No action by the Warrenton City Commission is anticipated.

Public Notice - Commission Executive Session

The Warrenton City Commission will hold an executive session before its regular meeting on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.  The executive session is under the authority of ORS 192.660(2)(h); to consult with counsel regarding pending litigation or litigation likely to be filed.

The meeting location is Warrenton City Hall, Commission Chambers, 225 S. Main, Warrenton, Oregon. Executive Sessions are not open to the public.

The City of Warrenton is seeking qualified consultants to develop a comprehensive Seismic Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plan for our water systems. This project is crucial for ensuring the resilience and reliability of our water infrastructure in the event of a seismic event. Completion of this project will fulfill the remaining requirements to certify our Water Master Plan, created in 2018, as stipulated by the Oregon Health Authority.

The City of Warrenton (City) owns and operates a public drinking water system serving a population of about 7,000 people. The City has identified a need for additional raw water storage to respond to regional growth, climate change, and community demands. Currently, the City has a 16-million-gallon raw water reservoir and aims to increase this capacity to at least 30 million gallons.
