Codes and Standards

There are several codes which regulate construction of buildings and related structures in the City of Warrenton. Many of these codes are statewide codes adopted through the Oregon Building Codes Division and locally administered by the Building Department.

Local Design Criteria

Warrenton is located at the mouth of the Columbia River and is subject to a myriad hazards including, strong sustained winds, seismic events, and coastal flooding. Find out more about the local design criteria that determine the minimum structural standards.

Tenant Improvement

A building permit is required to repair, alter, or change occupancy or use of any existing commercial structure. Find out more about permits and inspections required to make updates to your tenant space.
