2021 FIRE SEASON RESTRICTIONS

Fire Season declared at 01:00 am, June 22,  2021.

The following Guidelines have been adopted and will be followed for burning within Clatsop County during fire season.

CLOSURE OF ALL OPEN DEBRIS BURNING,  EXCEPT:

A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at Warrenton City Hall, 225 S. Main Avenue, Warrenton, to give residents the opportunity to comment on use of State Revenue Sharing funds in the City’s 2021-2022 budget. State Revenue Funds include Highway User Taxes, Liquor Tax, Cigarette Tax, and State Revenue Sharing (liquor).  A copy of the proposed FY 2021-2022 budget may be found on the City’s website: www.ci.warrenton.or.us.

The Executive Session that is listed on the agenda as after the June 8, 2021 meeting agenda has been moved up to 5:30 p.m. Please refer to the notice below. 
 

The Building Department has made great strides to meet one of the 2021 City Commission adopted goals to "Improve internal and external communications" by making updates to their webpage. The Planning Commission meeting for June 10, 2021 has been CANCELED. The next regularly scheduled meeting is Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

The City of Warrenton completed an Economic Opportunity Analysis (EOA) in 2021. The below infographics provide more information about what the EOA is and why it is important. You can also view the final EOA below. 

The Economic Opportunities Analysis will be implemented through Comprehensive Plan Amendments and Development Code Revisions via public hearings with the Planning Commission and City Commission. To view upcoming agendas and meeting packets click here.

On 04/28/2021 Sidney Crawford was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant for Attempted Murder by the United States Marshals Service.

Crawford was originally arrested on February 25, 2021 by Warrenton Police Officers after he was reported to have poured gasoline on another person and threatened to light them both on fire. On that date Crawford was arrested on charges of Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Menacing and lodged at the Clatsop County Jail. The case was referred to the Clatsop County District Attorney’s Office for review.
