WARRENTON CITY COMMISSION

ANNUAL RETREAT – 02/05/22

The Warrenton City Commission will hold their Annual Retreat on Saturday, February 5, 2022, beginning at 9:00 a.m., in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 225 S. Main Avenue, Warrenton, Oregon 97146.  The purpose of the retreat is to discuss City Commission goals and direction.

Public Notice: Quorum of City Commission & Marinas Advisory Committee 1.31.22

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Marinas Advisory Committee and the Warrenton City Commission will be conducting a walk the docks on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 11:00 am. No decisions will be made, but a quorum of the committee and/or commission may be present. The purpose is to walk the docks and assess conditions.  

 

Public Notice: Possible Quorum of the City Commission 2.4.22

PUBLIC NOTICE

A quorum of the Warrenton City Commission may be present at the League of Oregon Cities - Small Cities Regional Meeting. The meeting is scheduled on February 4, 2022, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Warrenton Community Center, 170 SW 3rd St., Warrenton, OR 97146. No action by the Warrenton City Commission is anticipated.

City Office Closed Monday, January 17, 2022

City offices will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2022 in observance of Martin Luther King Junior Day. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Regular garbage service will not be affect.

Joint City Commission and Planning Commission Meeting

WARRENTON CITY COMMISSION

AND WARRENTON PLANNING COMMISSION

The Warrenton City Commission and the Warrenton Planning Commission will hold a joint meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss goals and plans going forward. The meeting location is at the Warrenton City Hall, 225 S. Main, Warrenton, Oregon. City Commission meetings are open to the public.

City Hall – New Hours of Operation

Starting Monday, January 10, 2022, all City Hall offices will open to the public at 9:00 a.m. Closing time will remain at 5:00 p.m.

The Public Works, Marinas, and Library hours of operation will not change.

Coastal Flooding Advisory from NOAA!

COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 2 PM PST SUNDAY... WHAT...Tidal overflow flooding expected. WHERE...In Washington, South Washington Coast. In Oregon, North Oregon Coast and Central Oregon Coast. WHEN...From 10 AM to 2 PM PST Sunday. IMPACTS...Minor flooding, up to 1 foot above ground level, during high tides is expected in the low lying areas near bays, sloughs, and the lower reaches of the coastal rivers. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The Sunday afternoon high tide at Toke Point is forecast to peak near 12.5 feet around noon.

Building and Planning Departments Closed in the Afternoon 12/28/21

The Building and Planning departments will be closed the afternoon of Tuesday, December 28, 2021 due to weather conditions. 

Garbage Service Update

We are going to attempt to collect residential carts as conditions allow. Please leave your carts out at the curb, and weather permitting, we will service as soon as we can. We plan to get your cart serviced by the end of the week depending on when and if the Astoria transfer station opens up.
Commercial/dumpster service is canceled for 12/28. We will attempt to take care of these missed services soon as it is safe to do so, conditions permitting. Please remember that dumpsters cannot be picked up if they are overflowing or have trash stacked against them.
